Terms of Service

By accessing or using Mutqin (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Mutqin is a personal Qur'an memorisation (Hifz) tracker that allows users to log sessions, track surah completion, set daily goals, and monitor revision schedules. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

All design, code, graphics, and content of Mutqin (excluding the Noble Qur'an text itself and Hadith texts which are in the public domain) are the property of the Mutqin team and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

The Qur'anic verses and Hadith displayed within the Service are sourced from publicly available translations and remain the intellectual heritage of the Ummah.

Any data you input into Mutqin (session logs, notes, goals) remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process this data solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your memorisation records.

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of any content you submit. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

Mutqin is a personal productivity tool and does not constitute religious guidance or scholarly advice. Always consult a qualified Qur'an teacher (Sheikh / Ustadh) for matters relating to tajweed and the correctness of your memorisation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mutqin and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data or profits — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months (or $10 USD if the Service was free).

You may delete your account at any time through the settings panel. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after any revision constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
